Company history
Visions Art Studio and Gallery grew from Sharron's lifelong dream of being able to touch people with her artwork. She strives by the quote of Claude Monet "People discuss my art and pretend to understand as if it were necessary to understand, when it's simply necessary to love."
Sharron utilizes her growing up in Kansas, as a firm belief in people and the past. She also gives recognition of the Native American men and women of the past for which we have the rich and bountiful history to be proud to call our own.
It is Sharron's hope that in each of her pictures, the viewer will have a sense of emotion. To feel as though the picture is trying to tell them a story of the past or present.
To be assured of authentic costumes and weapons, Sharron relies upon many historical books, museums, as well as Native American Pow Wow's. For her Southwestern Style protraits, Sharron primarily uses pastels to acquire the bold colors usually associated with the vivid, expressive colors within the environment and seen in our beautiful landscapes. In addition to pastels, she uses high quality colored pencils and pastel pencils on Canson Mi-teintes paper.
